Happy Friday, friends! The countdown to my surgery is getting shorter. Earlier this week I had to get a COVID-19 test, and because of an unexplained error I had to do have blood work done twice. Needless to say, it's been a bit of a stressful week, and I've taken advantage of every opportunity to laugh and smile. So here are 5 things that made me smile this week.
Quinn Wharton recreates the famous final dance scene from Dirty Dancing. Baby is a lamp. He's recreating lots of famous movie dance scenes, but this is the first one I watched so it's the one I'm sharing.
19 parents share the weird things they caught their kids doing. The last one made me laugh so hard I cried.
I shared my love of The Holderness Family back in April. They're a husband-wife duo that takes funny and not-so-funny family and life situations and turns them into funny skits and songs. They've done a lot of quarantine routines lately, but If Sitcom Songs Were About Quarantine particularly tickled my funny bone.
Understandably, hospitals and senior care facilities have had to change their policies to keep the virus from spreading rampantly. In the wake of these changes, there have been lots of stories of people visiting their loved ones in unique ways. I particularly love this one - Husband Sets Up Date Night Outside Pregnant Wife's Hospital Room.
This last one's for all the bibliophiles, especially those who love classic literature. Buzzfeed rounded up 24 Jokes About Classic Literature that are sure to make you chuckle.
