Smothered Pork Chops in the Instant Pot
Pork chops are a favorite in our house, so I'm always looking for new ways to make them. I stumbled on this recipe when I was searching for ways to use up some random ingredients I had on hand. I never would have thought to use apple juice with french onion mix. The resulting sauce is sweet but not overwhelmingly so. I was worried Alexis wouldn't like it because of the onions, but she ate it without complaints but times we've had it.
The first time I made it, I didn't add anything extra to thicken it up, but this go 'round I added in a packet of plain brown gravy mix after everything had cooked. I don't think it matters how thick your pork chops are; I've used both thick and thin and gotten the same results.

Directions
Put the chops in the pot. Add butter and sprinkle the soup mix over the top. Cover with apple juice. Cook on manual for 5 minutes. Allow pressure to release naturally for about 10 minutes.
For thicker sauce, add flour or a packet of brown gravy mix.
