Monday Motivation
It's Monday once again. Is it just me or do the weekends just not last long enough? I went into the weekend with a pretty heft to-do list, all things that didn't get done during the week prior for various reasons. Ask me how much of that list got crossed off. Maybe one thing. This would be where I would insert the head smack emoji if I could.
I saw something on Facebook this morning about learning to love the mess, and I just really can't relate to that at all. Mess and clutter gives me anxiety. But no matter what I do, it always seems as if my house is in a state of disarray lately. I blame it on the pandemic. Everything has gotten so much more complicated, and if you're working from home it's really hard to find a part of the day that's not devoted to work-work or housework. Since work-work can't be ignored for long, I find myself skipping out on housework to get a moment to myself, whether it's to read a few chapters in a book or sit out on the back porch for a little while. So while that's great for helping me keep my cool, it's bad for the state of my home and leads to mess-related anxiety. I just can't find the balance!
Other than work, I have nothing on my calendar for this week, so hopefully I'll get caught up on the chores I let slide last week. I'm also still nursing a sore ankle and trying to keep my seasonal allergies from turning into something more, so my morning walk/jog has been downgraded to just a walk for the time being, which isn't hurting my feelings too terribly since it's decided to turn back into summer this week.
I don't have anything extra for you today, but I will have some fun content for you this week. Speaking of content, is there anything you'd like to see on the blog? Let me know in the comments!
