7 Things I Loved in October

by - November 10, 2020

October was simultaneously the shortest yet most drawn-out month ever. It probably had something to do with the week leading up to Halloween also being Red Ribbon Week and having six straight dress-up days that I was not prepared for at all. Anyway, things have been pretty steady in terms of work, school, and home, for which I'm grateful. Tuesdays have kind of turned into my unofficial product review day, and I'm a sucker for consistency... so here are 7 Things I Loved in October.

Covergirl LashBlast Fusion Mascara - I've never worn super heavy makeup, but my makeup routine has gotten even simpler in the past year. That said, mascara is one of my daily must-haves. As a natural redhead, if I don't wear mascara I look like I don't have eyelashes at all. This mascara gives me natural looking lashes with just one coat (although it layers nicely), doesn't smudge throughout the day (total gamechanger for me), and isn't clumpy. I wear the black-brown.

Color Removal Sponge - I've already talked about this makeup removing sponge on the blog before, but it really is worth mentioning again. It easily removes color from my brushes with just a few swipes. It doesn't replace a full-on cleaning, but it does help minimize build-up. Bonus, it comes with two sponges that are super easy to clean.

Perfect Hair Care Towel - To be fair, I got this at the end of the month, but even with only four days of use it was already changing my hair routine and has officially replaced my microfiber twisty-turban towel. This is a mix between microfiber and a t-shirt. Since using it, my hair has been significantly less frizzy.

Roomba - I've already talked about this, too, but man has it been a gamechanger. It runs three days a week and keeps my floors looking and feeling nice.

Black Sneakers - You guys have seen these shoes pretty much on repeat over the last month. I seriously wear these so much more than I thought I would.

No Slip No-Show Socks - I didn't expect these socks to actually stay in place all day long, but they do, making my low-top sneakers so much more comfy to wear. I feel like $13 is a little high for socks but these are totally worth it...even though I think my dryer has eaten a few pairs.

[Bad Boy's Guide to...] Being Not Good - This book had me smiling so hard I could hardly read past my cheeks. Read my full review here.
