Monday Motivation
How many of us can confidently say that we've got JOMO? I mean, really think about it. How often are you scrolling through social media, seeing all the amazing things being shared by the people you follow, and find yourself wishing that could be you.
It is so easy to get caught up in the lives of other people and let our brains get tricked into thinking we're missing out on something. I've been there, friends. But as I've gotten older and really started to appreciate my own self-worth and claim my identity, I've become much more comfortable in who I am and find myself embracing JOMO more often.
This past weekend was pretty laid back. We don't really do anything special to mark the unofficial end of summer, other than me pulling out all my fall décor. I used last week as kind of a pre-planning week for the rest of the month, scheduling out tasks for the October magazine and planning a month's worth of blog content.
I've never planned more than a week in advance for the blog, but I gotta say that I like having a plan already in place for the entire month. It's freeing, in a way, knowing that I won't have to sit down every Sunday and come up with 3-4 ideas for the coming week. I mean, why have I not done this before?!
Anyway, it may technically be a holiday, but I've still got a few things on my to-do list for the day. If you haven't yet, please join my email list. It is the best way to keep up with posts, and I promise you won't get inundated with spam messages from me!
I hope you find some time to disconnect from the real world, even if it's just for an hour. It's a great way to recharge your batteries and refocus on the things that really matter.
Have a wonderful week!
