11 Books I've Added to My TBR List
I can't believe it's been this long since I did an updated TBR list for you guys! Although, to be fair, I've been trying to read through the books I've already got before I add more to the pile. So this update only contains 11 books.
I've been having a hard time getting into anything new lately, so re-reading has been high on my priority list. So far, I've reread All The Pretty Monsters by Kristy Cunning and the Curse of the Gods series by Jaymin Eve.
Right now, I'm in the process of rereading Chandelle LaVaun's The Coven series so I'm prepared for when the next book releases in the next few months. I'm also reading The Thea Sisters: Treasure Seekers with my daughter. It's an easy chapter book that's got illustrations woven throughout and lots of fun text variations to keep her interested. We read a couple of chapters before bed each night, and I'm really enjoying the story.
For those of you who are new around here, I manage my TBR list through my Kindle library for the most part. When I see a book I'm interested in, I download a sample, which then lives forever in my library...or until I get around to reading it, whichever happens first. The other way I keep up with books I'd like to read is through Overdrive, which is the ebook system my local library uses, by adding titles to my wish list.
These are the books I've added to my TBR list so far this year.
The Long Forgotten Winter King - This is the second book in The Guild Codex: Unveiled series by Annette Marie. I've already read two completed series set in this world and absolutely loved them, and this one is based around one of my favorite characters.
The Hero I Need - I love Nicole Snow's books, especially the Knights of Dallas series. This book focuses on single dad, Grady, and Willow, a zoologist who's somehow stolen a tiger.
The Raven Spell - Set in Victorian England, a detective and witch join forces to hunt down a serial killer.
A Daughter of Triton - Calliope is the daughter of the greatest war general in Atlantis, and she's just been chosen by the oracle to attend the all-male academy.
Spiteful Punks - This was recommended in a book group I'm a part of on Facebook. It's a bully romance, and I don't know the exact plot, but the excerpt that was shared in the group made me laugh so I'm going to give it a shot.
Guardian - This is another book group recommendation. The blurb leaves a lot to be desired. All I know is that the MFC, Mina, wants to be the best Guardian the Collectors Division has ever seen. She's supposed to be a really strong lead, though, so we'll see.
Enemy Zone - First let me start off by saying that this author wrote one of my favorite series of all time, so I have high hopes. Skyler has just moved to Colorado where she desperately takes a job for Trident Rescue, where she meets Cullen Hunt, a Navy SEAL with PTSD.
Broken Moon - Kait is a wolf who can't shift, hobbled by her pack's alpha and then kicked out without protection. Now, a different alpha has requested her help, specifically her ability to see the dead. In exchange, he says he'll free her wolf.
Wrong - When it comes to picking the wrong guys, Sophie is an expert. So when she starts to crush on a regular customer at the coffee shop where she works, she thinks nothing of it. Then she meets him for real in a really awkward way, and maybe he's not wrong after all.
Tempted - This book has been on my radar for awhile. I've just been waiting for the series to be completed. Skye has just moved to Amber Bay, Alaska, an off-the-grid small town that's got buried secrets. In her efforts to uncover the truth of what's going on beneath the surface, Skye just might reveal secrets of her own.
Catch Me - Eden Kelly stumbles through a magic mirror and finds herself in 1667 where she learns that vampires and wolf shifters are real.
