Happy Monday, friends! I'm running a little bit behind with this post today, but it's Spring Break so I didn't have to be up as early as usual, and I took full advantage of it.

We don't have anything big planned for this week like we did last year. This is an important week for the magazine, so I'll be busy with it, and my husband works most of the week. However, we did enroll Alexis in a daily art camp, so she's excited for that, especially because two of her little friends are going to be there with her.

We had a nice weekend to kick off the break. We took Alexis to Hobby Lobby, her favorite store, and walked through this year's Egg Quest at our local Botanical Gardens. It's one of my favorite Easter events. People, schools, and businesses decorate these large wooden eggs, and some of them are truly works of art.

Friday was technically the first day of the break, but it stormed pretty much all day so we stayed inside. The day before, Alexis's school had a Color Run, and I volunteered to help with that (although I didn't really do anything to be honest). The kids had a blast at that and my poor backseat may never be the same (I forgot to take a towel). While there, though, I was able to meet the mom of one of Alexis's oldest little friends and extend an invite to her birthday party. The little girl actually came to one of her parties a few years ago, but they haven't been in the same class since.

In other news, I redesigned the blog header. I had two options and posted them on my Facebook page, asking people which they liked best. This one was the overwhelming winner. I'm considering redoing my entire layout a little bit but haven't had time to devote to that yet.

Anyway, this week is going to be spent finishing up the magazine. I've got several things that still need writing, and I need to up my ad count. I've also still got several ads in design that need finishing. It's a lot going on for sure. Speaking of, I need to hop to it!
