Happy last week before Christmas! Are you on winter break yet? Better yet, have you finished your holiday shopping? I didn't start any shopping until this past weekend. The good news, though, is that I was able to finish shopping for Alexis. Bad news is that I still have everyone else to shop for still. I haven't been this last minute in years, but between being sick for a full week and the craziness of teaching in December, it is what it is.

So we're officially out of school for the next two weeks, and other than a few family holiday get togethers we have no plans, and I'm okay with that. The only things on my to-do list are to get the house under control (it's been nuts since we all got the flu), read and grade some essays, and get my lesson plans put together for January. And of course I'll read as much as I can, but I figured that went without saying.

I don't have much in the pipeline for this week, but I do plan on doing all of my typical end-of-the-year posts. Mostly, though, I plan to get some much-needed rest.
