March Favorites: 10 Things Bringing Me Joy This Month
March has been roaring right along, and there's plenty of things that have been making my life better in some way. As always, this post is a mix of things from clothing to accessories, music, and even activities.
Woven Brown Mary Janes - I love these shoes so much. They feel much fresher than my plain old tan flats, and they go with literally everything. Not to mention, they're super comfortable. Unfortunately, my exact ones are only available in a few sizes now, but there is a really similar pair on Amazon that has good reviews.
White A-Line Skirt - This is another Target find that is making a big impact on my spring wardrobe. This skirt is such a classic cut; I know I'll still be wearing it years down the road. Some pros are that it's lined, has a bit of elastic in the waist, and has pockets. It comes in a solid brown as well as a navy floral pattern.
Green Overalls - Have y'all gotten tired of me talking up these overalls yet? I now own them in three colors, but these green ones are dominating my spring outfits. I have worn them so many different ways. They're basically a neutral at this point. Seriously, if you've been on the fence about getting a pair, jump on over to the buy side. They come in so many colors. Next on my list to buy is the light pink.
Checkered Makeup Bag - You might recognize this makeup bag from my last working moms Christmas gift guide. Well, my mom got one for me, and it came at just the right time because we have been travelling a good bit this spring. What I especially like about this bag, aside from its cute pattern, is the segmented pockets lining the inside. They're perfect for keeping my brushes organized and keeping my blush stick, eyeliner, eyebrow filler, mascara, and lipstick from getting lost in the bottom. There's also space for my hair pick and a small baggie of ponytail holders, and I can comfortably fit my brush and a hairclip in there as well without straining the zipper.
Hobo Bag - I love a good oversized handbag, but they've not been particularly trendy in recent years, so imagine my delight when I saw that hobo bags are trending this year. This one is really nice quality. The leather is nice and soft and the perfect level of slouchy. It's nice and roomy with one inside pocket. It does not have a zipper closure, which does not bother me since I rarely use them anyway.
Embroidery Kit - Sadly, I've not gotten to indulge in my new creative hobby as much as I would like to since we've been so busy with the hog shows and Odyssey, not to mention all the extra work I'm doing for this gifted certification course I'm taking. When I do have the time to work on it, it's so relaxing.
"God Needs the Devil" by Jonah Kagen - Oh, man. This song. It's everything for me right now. I could listen to it on repeat all day long. It's that good, y'all.
"Show Pony" by Glass Animals - Honestly this entire album is fire, but this song in particular just speaks to me. I've had it stuck in my head for months now.
Color Block Jam - I really love games that challenge my spatial reasoning, and this puzzle game is perfect. Unfortunately, I got a new phone and lost all my progress and am having to start over. If you're interested in playing, just search Color Block Jam in either the Google Play Store or the Apple Store.
Not Your Mother's Curl Talk Refreshing Foam - This is one of my favorite curly girl brands on the market, and I am so glad that my local Walmart has started carrying this curl refreshing foam. It's easy to apply, re-moisturizes my waves, smells lovely, and doesn't dry crunchy. It's also very reasonably priced.
